Raising Conscious Awareness

Raising your conscious awareness is a matter of choice, one that sets your intent within a focal point. In the physical sense this is easy to see, but what do these actions bring into play spiritually? Spiritually this means you have chosen to connect with your Inner Spirit heeding the information you receive through sensory impressions—not emotional reactions and there is a difference. It brings forth a depth of understanding that exceeds mundane perception through the willingness to pay attention to truths revealed, allowing you to step into the light of understanding any given situation.
Emotions cloud judgment causing impulsive reactions. Our emotional perceptions can run askew swinging around like a pendulum gone wild. If you are weighted with emotional attachments it is easy to forget there is a choice in how you can respond to people, situations, circumstances, or any difficult decisions you are facing. How do you respond? Is it from an emotional or reactionary standpoint or through sound sensory discernment? I've always loved the twist on the perspective of responsibility being nothing more than the ability to respond. In raising consciousness it is important to look within yourself to see if your emotions are triggering important issues you need to look at to uncover the truth about yourself. You know what it feels like when you sense something good is coming and what it feels like if things are going to be getting rough around the edges. Your body reacts doesn’t it? By going within the sensory perspectives clarity comes forward. Learn to pay attention to the rhythm of the energy running through your senses. It holds a lot of information.
If the emotions are at play it's a personal red flag but all too often one that’s apt to be ignored. You need to raise your awareness shifting to sensory whispers or you will likely deny the truth, later wishing you hadn't. How many times have you second-guessed yourself? You may be asking how to see such truth, what that looks like, what it feels like. These are good questions to ask and it is important to know how to recognize the answers. When sensations flow you will feel tingly and warm, icy cold, queasy at a thought, crawly, motivated and inspired, or a strong sense of urgency to act. What have your senses been telling you all your life? If you’re willing to work with your awareness then you willingly take on the role of co-pilot allowing your spirit to do the driving through an interior landscape. Aware of the sensations flowing through you, it is necessary to ride with the energy they produce to see where you’re heading. Pay attention.
Observe the impressions and how things are playing out according to the choices you make. If you like you can look at old choices you’ve made and ask some questions: Why did you choose to respond in the manner that you did? Was it good for you? Did it lead to challenges and learning experiences? Was it painful and if so who was hurt—you or someone else? Did you grow or diminish your Self? If you grew your energy would have felt lighter and brighter. If you diminished your Self you would have felt drained or heavy with regret. How would you handle the truth differently today? Would you handle it differently? What do your senses tell you about then and now? Trust what you're getting.
Trust it? Yes, that's sometimes tricky because the ego has extremes taking you from a state of high arrogance or plummeting into low self-esteem and the spirit is often in the center hidden beneath emotions. What are you being shown about your ego or emotional state this way? Is it clouding your judgment? You have to be willing to see truth, not deny it; and the ego will deny anything it doesn't like the taste of because it feeds off over-inflated or under-inflated emotional impressions of itself. That’s when the waves start to slosh and you have to be willing to see and embrace truth regardless of what the emotional reaction is.
By letting those emotional waves pass over you without attachment you can flow through them bringing yourself into balance. You’ll come to understand the need to get out of their depths to clarify issues. In this your integrity comes into play taming the ego; integrity that steps out into the world with you and this is where your choice becomes balanced with spiritual insights. But you have to tame your emotions and they love attaching to the ego, don't they? Emotions can be so sticky and cause you to impulsively make hasty decisions. In hindsight those decisions usually make you wish you'd taken an extra moment or two to center and think before acting but by then it’s too late.
Choose to recognize the difference between sensation and emotion beforehand. Learn to trust the senses by remaining centered in the truth you can feel. That is reality; and you will quickly discover just how high you can raise your awareness and how far that will take you. The choices you make may be easy or call for you to be as tactful as possible, but they will be well-made. With honesty in your decisions you can honor your discernments and accordingly the greater good within the impact of your actions. Your choice becomes wise when it is centered with the Self and you have the ability within you to make this connection; we all do. Your spirit will not lie or deceive, but the senses, until they are honed, are like soft whispers you can barely make out—unless you choose to focus on them.
When you understand sensations everything changes. Understanding brings clarity and simplicity to the process where choices practically make themselves giving you the freedom to make the right decisions. Remember, when you chose appropriately for yourself you choose in like manner for others as well—whether they like that choice or not you will KNOW you’re doing the right thing. In order to honor all that you are in relation to others and the world around you, you need to respond to the Self first. With truth you become balanced and you can walk with it respectfully able to see the value of being totally honest with your Self and anyone else.
Choices often test your integrity, usually when you have lost sight of it or are about to if you’re not careful—egotistical and emotional responses do that to us. There's an advantage to seeing choice as an integrity test and your senses will tell you when your integrity is being challenged, something just doesn’t feel quite right. Senses keep you alert and centered allowing you to see the other side of matters or the outcome before committing yourself. What's on the other side waiting for you? Do you have options? What are they? What's the likely result in each of those options? You’re going to need undisturbed space to do this so make room for it if you have to. This is called entering the Silence, where you achieve a calm meditative state in order to see things clearly.
All this puts a whole new slant on matters through recognizing your Higher Self. Stars Above! Does the spirit within ever love it when you pay attention! It rejoices when you listen and it will tell you so much! Not only are you able to listen but you can have conversations and communication develops becoming a two-way street. Things really start to happen then. You'll probably feel it stir instantly swelling within you because truth moves through you. Watch for it and feel it rise into your awareness moving into the understanding it holds. In this way you shift your focus and a new question forms: are you able to respect the Self enough to honor the truth you are sensing? Well, let's say you do…that you're letting the Self get in the driver's seat, and it’s time for you to become the passenger. What can you see now as a witness looking out the proverbial window?
Can you see where your integrity resides in the internal landscape? It is also where your intent and impeccability come from. I call these the 3-I’s: Integrity, Intent and Impeccability and they are wonderful guidelines to walk with. Raising your consciousness in this manner will also aid in the process of unlocking your Third Eye as visionary experiences often accompany sensory impressions. As you connect and start to look through the eyes of your Inner Spirit it begins to show you all sorts of things that aid in sharpening the senses while imparting important and often critical information. You’ll learn to pinpoint truths with accuracy and I cannot stress enough how awesome it is once you begin to develop this communication with the Self!
It opens so many doorways, doors that allow you to connect with Guides, Spirit Helpers, Mother and Spirit—it’s a literal springboard to all that and so much more. A raised awareness enhances your Free Will having the sensation of Knowing truth. If you don't know what it is you simply need more information—find it by delving deeper within probing with your senses for the answers. You make choices in given situations all day long, but how often do you choose for your Self? Can you answer that? I'm being rhetorical for a reason. I want you to think about that because if you would like to know what the sensory energy signatures feel like, or even sharpen old skills the question is important. You’re welcome to try a little exercise and take what I call ‘The Awareness Test'.
All you have to do is focus on being aware of the choices you make for three days. That's all, just be aware of them, observe your impressions and the messages they bring forward. If you have free time you can take this a step further to observe the choices you've made in the past, or perhaps look into the choices you know are coming up. By observing through the eyes of the Self see what it's telling you compared to how things did unfold, how they are unfolding, or how they are likely to unfold based on what your senses convey. Then watch for validations to present themselves and jiggle what you're getting into place when you see you are off, we are human after all. Take the Awareness Test for the next 3 days and prove this to yourself.
If you like what you discover and wish to walk consciously in higher awareness it will take 21 days of choosing to do so to make it a habit. Twenty-one days. Imagine the wonders you will experience in that short span of time…and remember to listen to the whispers on the wind.
