Called to a path of service as a Medicine Woman and non-denominational minister, my work as a Spiritual Life Coach and clairsentient Reader has spanned over 40 years of service. It was in my love of sharing the experiences and knowledge gained over the years that led me to publish “A Medicine Woman Speaks.”

My background is highly eclectic. I began learning from my Guides at the age of five. Over the years that followed I came to know many different teachers while exploring paths along the lines of: religion, philosophy, metaphysics,the occult, paganism and nature-based cultural traditions, Bohemian gypsy teachings and more. Yet, nothing had brought me the deep sense of fulfillment I was looking for, I’d found only bits and pieces of a greater something that was as yet unnamed.

I continued to seek a path I could call home when in the late 70’s an old childhood friend stepped back into my life. Mary Henderson and I walked together for 5 years before she suffered a fatal heart attack. During that time she had introduced me to the ways of her People, the Lakota Sioux. From the moment we’d begun to share our spiritual beliefs and experiences things began coming together. I’d finally found the path I was meant to walk and, knowing she was dying, she asked me to vow I would continue to walk it.

So began the journey to becoming a Medicine Woman and minister. More teachers would come to cross my path in that process and today I am honored to be an adopted blood-sister to the Sioux, Delaware, Mohawk and Cherokee Nations. I have served for a time as a member of a mixed-blood tribe in the roles of Tribal Minister, Clan Chief, and Elder.

In 1999 I undertook a Vision Quest and have been walking the Path of the Feather since then. At that time I was instructed to serve through private practice, resigning my tribal roles in 2000 to fulfill the vision I was blessed to receive. In January of that year I was deeply involved with a small group of shamanic practitioners and together we co-founded Spirit Lodge. The site was free to all members offering an interactive study and resource center for spiritual and shamanic practices now located at: www.spiritlodge.yuku.com.

Time passed quickly during that first year as one by one the group began to disburse. The founders were called away to serve in other directions and I continued with the site through the generous help of members who wanted to see it continue to grow. Today it has done just that, from a handful of pages we now offer seven topical libraries with over 1100 articles, nine interactive forums and a wonderful community of warm, supportive, like-minded individuals who generously contribute to the richness of the Lodge.

During the years Spirit Lodge was developing the needs of individuals seeking private coaching grew tremendously; however, the ability to meet those needs seemed impossible. People were being turned away instead and it was clear something more was called for. Together with my daughter, RiverMoon, we have been blessed with the opportunity to create a sister site: Spirit Lodge .info. which now serves the public in that capacity. Our paths focus on assisting individuals seeking spiritual growth and development. Through our private Coaching services we are blessed to witness the processes of Self-discovery in others. It’s a truly amazing moment when someone awakens to the quickening of their Inner Spirit amid the infinite ways that unfold as the sacred mysteries present themselves. To see others discovering a deep, profound understanding of the Self, the spirit within, and witness the process as it transforms their lives is so special. We are honored to walk with them as they learn to walk between the worlds, privileged to see them excitedly recognize and develop their abilities. It’s our hearts’ joy when they connect with their Spirit Helpers, tap into guidance, and most of all come to know Spirit and Mother Earth intimately.

It’s then we know they can embrace the rewards of their efforts, find meaning upon their path amid all those that Spirit makes available to us…and wherever that path may be taking them, we know they are fulfilling their destiny.
